Bright D.I.Y Pillow Cover To Brighten Up My Space

 

 

 

 

Hello, today I wanted to share my  first attempt at doing a D.I.Y pillow cover . I don't know how to sew on a zipper, so I figured another way to try this without to much work. I am not good with the sowing machine. I can only do a straight line. Totally new to me, but I watched some videos on You Tube and that helped. I tried to show how I did this, but I'm really sorry about the blurry pictures. I did all the sewing at night when my kiddos were sleeping. I'll try to get better pictures in the future. so here are the instruction's for this simple pillow cover.

 

 

I took this fabric color that I already had and really wanted to use. It really brightened up my livingroom. The white pillow cover was purchased at ikea for 3 dollars.

I left about an inch to each side to fold in and sew. Then I gave them a good ironing. Then I just folded the sides in and started to sew.

 

 

 

 

 That's it not to hard, just a little bit of work holding the fabric down. This is my first time doing this, like I said. I think it turned out good. Not to bad, and the best thing of course is that I can take out the insert and wash the cover.

 

 

 

 

I also wanted to share a close up of my flowers that my husband planted for me. He knows I love flowers and he wanted me to enjoy them inside.

Light fixture/Despositivo de luz

Hello, today I wanted to share a little change I did to my dining room. I changed out my lighting fixture. I had another one from Ikea, and I traded for this one that I had in my kids room I think its better fitting over here. I like the change. I think the other one was a little small for the table. This is how it looked before.

Hola hoy quiero compartir un pequeno cambio que ise en mi comedor. solamente cambie my despositivo de luz. Tenia una de Ikea. y lo cambie por uno que tenia en el cuarto de mis ninos pienso que se mira major aqui. El otro estaba un poco chico para la mesa. Asi empeso.

I moved somethings around shopped my house. I love when I don't  have to buy anything to get a different feel.

Movi unas cosas que tenia en mi casa sin tener que comprar nada para darme otro look.

As you can see I moved my triangled pot over here it gets more light. I would like to bring more colors into this room eventually.

Como pueden ver movi mi maseta para este cuarto. le da mucha mas luz aqui.

Added the palm tree as well because again this room gets so much light all day.

Tambien movi mi palma para este cuarto porque le da mucha luz todo el dia.

VISUALLY HEAVY SIDE TABLE/ MESA DE LADO VISUAL

Hi, today I wanted to share a little table revamp that  I worked on this weekend. All I did was spray paint it. I found it a my local Goodwill and its just what I wanted for the space. I had been looking for a table that wouldn't take up to much space visually. One that wouldn't  look heavy in the room. I like to keep my home uncluttered and roomy. I think the black made it look to strong in the room, and the white made it look more visualy light in my opinion. As you can tell the fact that it has simple lines also makes it look more spaces like its not even their. I was also thinking of painting it gold but I think I'll just use gold accessories like that pillow from Target. Now, I have a place for my guests to sit their cups when they come over. Here's how it all happened.
Hola hoy queria compartir un proyecto que complete este fin de semana. Solamente le di una pintada con aerosol blanco. La mesa la encontre en mi Goodwill local y era lo que necesitaba en mi espacio. Estaba buscando una mesita que no tomara mucho espacio visual y esta estaba perfecta. Me gusta que mi casa se sienta libre sin tanto revoltijo y esta no toma mucho espacio visual. Tambien pienso que el color negro era muy pesado en este espacio y el blanco es mas visualmente liviano. Las linias tamien la asen mirar mas moderna. Tambien pense en pintarla dorada pero major usare accesories dorados. Como la almohada que compre en Target.

Use la pintura base porque es lo que tenia a mano y trabajo bien para mi.





I'm not an expert but I hope this helps explain a little about an object looking heavy or visually strong in a room. This is just my opinion and its what helps me. hope it can help someone else.
Espero que esto sea de ayuda para algien cuando estes buscando algo espesifico. Si no quieres que tome mucho espacio visual busca algo con linias simples sin mucho adorno. Espero te ayude.
