GALLERY WALL ART

 Hello,
Today I finally got some things done ,and I wanted to share my gallery wall. I've showed this gallery wall on the blog a couple of times ,but I just wanted  to share a little bit about how I collected and decided on this for now.

Most of the things up here were diys. Which makes it more special because I was able to display some family art. The bun print was purchased at Etsy. Elizabeth Mayville shop, its a great print and one of my favorites. Then we have the striped and polka dots coasters. My son did the colorful art one and I made the diamond shape on top.
On this side I went with water and beach art. The big print was also purchased from Etsy. It was a really great deal actually. I got it for twenty dollars, and its a really great size.  The shop owner is Macy Carter photo. She has some other ocean shots available. the other two were thrift finds.

The mirrors were also thrift finds. I purchased them before I even had an idea of were they were going to go. I first started with the middle mirror and then decided on the rest of the art. I'm happy with what I have right now, but since most of them were diys I think ill eventually change it up in the future .

I had to share more flowers from my back yard this year I'm really being blessed with flowers. This beauties are a wonderful color.

So have you jumped in to the gallery wall bandwagon? Are you still stuck with what you want to display? I say go for it! one last thing on your décor list. Please comment I love to hear from you.

Bright D.I.Y Pillow Cover To Brighten Up My Space

Hello, today I wanted to share my  first attempt at doing a D.I.Y pillow cover . I don't know how to sew on a zipper, so I figured another way to try this without to much work. I am not good with the sowing machine. I can only do a straight line. Totally new to me, but I watched some videos on You Tube and that helped. I tried to show how I did this, but I'm really sorry about the blurry pictures. I did all the sewing at night when my kiddos were sleeping. I'll try to get better pictures in the future. so here are the instruction's for this simple pillow cover.

I took this fabric color that I already had and really wanted to use. It really brightened up my livingroom. The white pillow cover was purchased at ikea for 3 dollars.

I left about an inch to each side to fold in and sew. Then I gave them a good ironing. Then I just folded the sides in and started to sew.

That's it not to hard, just a little bit of work holding the fabric down. This is my first time doing this, like I said. I think it turned out good. Not to bad, and the best thing of course is that I can take out the insert and wash the cover.

I also wanted to share a close up of my flowers that my husband planted for me. He knows I love flowers and he wanted me to enjoy them inside.

I really like how much more color it brought into my space. I'm ready for summer. Are you ready for summer? what are you doing to your space? comment I love to hear from you.

Polka dots and Stripes

I found this little cute coasters at my local Marshalls in the clearance section on my last trip. There little coasters that I'm sure were left from the New Years decorations. I grabbed them up, and decided they would make a great d.i.y. I love the gold, polka dots and stripes on them.

As you can see theirs not much to it. Just taped them on to a white plain paper and put them inside the frame. Super cute and super simple. To my gallery wall it goes.

What do find yourself picking up in the clearance section? Happy weekend friends. Please comment.

Giving a Plain Basket Pazazz

Ok, so maybe it's just paint on a basket, but hey it took a little work. I found this basket at a garage sale close to my house. The guy wanted to two whole dollars and fifty cents for it, and I gave it to him before his wife came out and took it back. It was a deal! I actually had been looking for something big like this for some storage, and this baby is big. I wanted to give it some color and found this colors to do it. Ok, so here are the details.

I got the colors at my local Home Depot. I used the sample sizes that you can buy for about three dollars. Really good deal since I still have a lot left for other projects. I went with True peach, Tropical coral, and Minty green.

I just used the frog tape to separate the colors and the mason twine for the handles. I was walking around the home depot and this color jumped out at me. such a bright color, so home it  came.
Just wrapped the twine around the handles super easy, and that's about it. Super simple to do, and my basket has pazazz now. Is that word even used anymore? I'm such a nerd. Nothing wrong with being one though.

Thank you for reading. Let me know if you have done any diy's recently? Just leave your link so I can check it out. I'm also on instagram, user name angietruthsadobe, follow me so I can follow you back. Please comment.   I'm linking this to bestofthenest.
